ICC, ICIVE, TCZJ, and JIHS Collaborate on Developing Mandarin Language Center and International Programs

South Jakarta, May 19, 2026 — The Indonesia–China Center for Education and Industry Cooperation (ICC), along with the Center for Integration of Vocational Education and Industry Practice, Invest Beijing (ICIVE), the Tourism College of Zhejiang (TCZJ), and the Jakarta International Polytechnic (JIHS), signed a hybrid Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as the first step in developing a Mandarin Language Center at JIHS. ICC, ICIVE, and JIHS attended in person at the Jakarta International Polytechnic (JIHS) campus in SCBD, South Jakarta, while TCZJ participated online from China. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen international cooperation in education, foreign language development, and improving the quality of globally competitive human resources. Through this collaboration, the parties are committed to developing the Mandarin Language Center at JIHS as a learning platform for Chinese language and culture for students and the general public. The Mandarin Language Center is expected to serve as a platform for improving foreign language competency, broadening international horizons, and supporting the need for human resources ready to compete globally. In addition to developing the Mandarin Language Center, this collaboration also opens up opportunities for collaboration in various international education programs, including academic exchanges, language training, curriculum development, and capacity-building programs for students and educators. On this occasion, ICC also presented the hospitality education program to be implemented at the Tourism College of Zhejiang (TCZJ). This presentation served as an introduction to the educational program and opened up opportunities for broader collaboration in the fields of hospitality, vocational education, and human resource development between Indonesia and China. Through the signing of this MoU, ICC, ICIVE, TCZJ, and JIHS hope to build sustainable collaboration in education, language, and international program development, thereby providing tangible benefits for all parties and strengthening the Indonesia-China cooperative relationship in the future.
