The Signing of the MoU between ICC, WPU, ICIVE, Hui Tong Geu, and PELITA Strengthens Indonesia–China Vocational Education Cooperation

Jakarta, May 19, 2026, the Indonesia–China Center for Education and Industry Cooperation (ICC) held a strategic meeting with Wuhan Polytechnic University (WPU), the Center for Integration of Vocational Education and Industry Practice, Invest Beijing (ICIVE), Hui Tong Geu, and the Association of Indonesian Private Polytechnics (PELITA). The meeting was held to discuss collaboration opportunities and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institutions. The event provided a forum for discussion on various collaboration opportunities in developing vocational education, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening relations between educational institutions and industry in Indonesia and China. Participants exchanged views on educational development strategies relevant to industry needs and opportunities for long-term cooperation that could benefit both countries. In addition to discussing the development of vocational education in Indonesia, participants also discussed collaboration opportunities with vocational institutions in China through various education, training, academic exchange, and competency development programs. This collaboration is expected to open broader access for students, educators, and educational institutions to gain international experience. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between ICIVE, Hui Tong Geu, and PELITA. This signing marks the first step in fostering collaboration in the development of vocational education, strengthening ties between education and industry, and enhancing human resource competencies to meet the needs of the global job market. In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Wuhan Polytechnic University (WPU) and PELITA. This collaboration aims to strengthen academic collaboration through educational program development, knowledge exchange, and the creation of international collaboration opportunities for students and educators from both countries. Through this collaboration, all parties hope to develop various sustainable collaborative programs to support the advancement of vocational education, enhance human resource competitiveness, and expand access to international-level educational and industrial opportunities. This collaboration also forms part of efforts to strengthen educational ties between Indonesia and China to support the development of future global talent.
