Strengthening Cooperation in Education, Innovation, and Green Energy Development, ICC and Muhammadiyah Institute Sign MoU

Jakarta, June 19, 2026 — The Indonesia–China Center for Education and Industry Cooperation (ICC), along with the Ma'arif Institute, the Muhammadiyah Central Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (Dikdasmen) and the Muhammadiyah Climate Center (MCC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop multinational inter-institutional cooperation. The signing took place at the Tamarin Hotel Wahid Hasyim in Jakarta. The signing of this MoU is a strategic step in strengthening Indonesia–China cooperation in education, human resource development, technology, and downstream research output. Through this collaboration, all parties are committed to continuously supporting the improvement of academic quality, research, innovation, culture, and the development of green energy. The ICC is committed to serving as a legitimate bridge for cooperation between the Indonesian and Chinese governments. Going forward, the ICC will continue to encourage concrete collaborations with various institutions under the auspices of Muhammadiyah, so that they can provide tangible benefits for the development of education, industry, and human resources in both countries. On this occasion, the ICC and the Ma'arif Institute signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation in education, including student and lecturer exchanges, joint development of education and training programs, industrial cooperation, and human resource development. The ICC and the Muhammadiyah Central Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (Majelis Dikdasmen) and the Muhammadiyah National Education Council (Majelis PNF) also signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation in education, including student and teacher exchanges, the development of Mandarin language and Chinese culture learning, and human resource development. In addition, the ICC and the Muhammadiyah Climate Center (MCC) signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation in education and technology. The scope of this cooperation includes student and lecturer exchanges, joint research in the field of green energy, the development of green energy education programs, and collaboration in green energy technology and innovation. Through the signing of this MoU, all parties hope to continue building sustainable collaboration to promote progress in education, technology, and innovation, while strengthening Indonesia-China relations internationally.
