ICC Together with the Chinese Delegation Discussed the Development of Collaboration in Education, Research and Academic Exchange with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology

Central Jakarta, May 19, 2026 — The Indonesia–China Center for Education and Industry Cooperation (ICC), along with Wuhan Polytechnic University (WPU) and the Center for Integration of Vocational Education and Industry Practice, Invest Beijing (ICIVE), paid an official visit to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in Senayan, Central Jakarta. The meeting was held to discuss strengthening cooperation between universities in Indonesia and China in the fields of education, research, and human resource development. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen international collaboration that supports improving the quality of higher education and the competitiveness of human resources at the global level. One of the main agenda items discussed was the development of a curriculum transfer program between universities in Indonesia and China to encourage the creation of a more adaptive, innovative, and internationally oriented education system. Furthermore, the meeting participants also discussed the possibility of opening branches of Chinese universities in Indonesia as a strategic step to expand access to international education and strengthen academic ties between the two countries. This initiative is expected to open more opportunities for Indonesian students to obtain a quality, global-standard education. The collaboration discussed also included lecturer and student exchange programs, joint research development, and strengthening academic collaboration between universities. These programs are expected to encourage knowledge exchange, increase academic capacity, and create innovations that benefit both education and industry. Through this meeting, ICC, WPU, ICIVE, and the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology hope to build a sustainable partnership in supporting the development of education, research, and innovation between Indonesia and China, thereby positively contributing to the future progress of both countries.
